This not for profit family-friendly community event celebrates the environment, cultural achievements and community pride of the Caloundra area. The beautiful Kings Beach and surrounds will come alive to the sounds of a diverse line-up of entertainment featuring the best of the Australian music industry as well as famous international artists. A colourful street parade, roving performers, beach-side carnival, buskers, free children's entertainment and a stroll in The Village complete the experience. This festival represents the Sunshine Coast Regional Council's ongoing commitment to cultural diversity and community celebration.

Kings of the Coast - Caloundra Ocean Swim

Kings of the Coast - Caloundra Ocean Swim is the ultimate ocean swimming challenge. The 3.8 kilometre ironman distance swim is not for the faint hearted and provides the ultimate test in a challenging part of Queensland's coastline. With a two Person Team option, Kings of the Coast is a great end goal for every swimmer in the Queensland Ocean Swim Series and is set to become the pinnacle of ocean swimming in Queensland. The course heads south from Moffat Beach where you will battle the elements, and your competitors, around an exposed headland. Your final destination awaits you at the picturesque Kings Beach. This event also features a short course option which is perfect for nippers or less experienced ocean swimmers. The courses include Long Course (3.8 kilometres, open water), Short Course (500 metres, open water), and variable courses for individual and two person teams.

Ladies Oaks Day

Fast becoming the most popular day at the races, especially for the ladies, Ladies Oaks Day is held on the Caloundra Public Show Holiday each year and is the biggest ladies day out on the Sunshine Coast. The Hot 91 Ladies Oaks Day includes a full day of racing at Corbould Park. Corporate marquees are available. Fashions on the Field are always a major draw card. Race in for the action. This is an 18 plus event.

This event is hosted by the Caloundra Lapidary Club. You will see gems, jewellery, fossils, crystals, minerals, beading, silverwork, stone and bone carving, rough and cut stones, faceting, opals, sapphires, lapidary equipment, displays and workshops all held in an air conditioned venue, There is something for all members of the family including free kids face painting, lucky brochure draws - grab yours and win.
